When to Suspect Your Child Has one of These Illnesses

When her doctor says, "It's just growing pains" but the pains have been there for months.  If "growing pains" actually exist, they are transitory.

When her doctor keeps saying, "I can't find anything wrong with her," and asks you questions about "stress."

When she wants to do things she enjoys, but says she can't.

When walking up a flight of stairs can wear her out.

When she can't remember what she just read or heard (unless she was always that way).

When her "easy reading" level declines, so she has to read simpler things than she used to.

When she avoids family outings because she doesn't want to spoil them by getting worn out or sick before they are over.

When her grades go down even though you can see she is doing her best.

When stand up makes her so dizzy she has to sit down.

Tell me some more of these, that I can add to the list.
